R&B superstar Alicia Keys has reportedly landed a $25 million deal with beverage company Glaceau to front a new campaign for its VitaminWater line. The singer/songwriter will become the new face of the company’s health-conscious products, once fronted by rapper/mogul Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Last year 50 Cent sold his 10 percent share of Glaceau, as the Coca Cola company acquired the smaller drinks operation for a whopping $4.1 billion. The rapper netted $400 million in the deal. [Livesteez]

Looks like 50’s rescue investment has become a cultural phenomenon. It seems to be more of a commercial friendly adjustment, paying 50 Cent and his “gangsterdom”to go the hell away, became a double edge sword. Why? Cause despite who joins his primary endorsed, health conscious and rap free business, he’ll always be know as the owner in common folks minds.
