Usher 2008. In this go round, he’s a married man, a father and working harder to become an enigma. You know, the new Black is… “What the hell is he/she thinking?” The seemingly random marriage, the is he or isnt he not a father…what does his kid look like? Of course when he got married to his stylist, the love of his life Tameka, people were skeptical. Me, it made sense to me. It wasn’t like his former love Chili a spring chick, she was just as old. On top of that, he’s had a close relationship with his mother and what young girl would be able to compete with that? I might have been one of the few that not only wished him luck but, really couldn’t care why…Why? Cause as weird as it is to say this, Usher is a grown a$$ man (now).

What made his involvement with Tameka so intriguing was the spell around her as the “other woman” to the infamous break up of him and Chili. To me that helped his sells of his multi-plat album Confessions. So when reports that they broke up popped up, nearing his new album release, I said I guess this is what it comes down to now, fake reports to stay in the news, reports that are REAL far from the truth.

See, is the typical music consumer that damn stupid? I’d like to think I can buy an Usher album and not need to be duped into feeling sorry for him and pity purchasing an album…then again the pity purchase phenomenon was all the rave a few years ago. The underdog fighting against, whom ever…it worked for 50 and he laughed all the way to the bank since. Janet and Mary J has made a complete career of using drama, no matter how old or seemingly resolved to fuel content for their albums.

Whether people like Tameka or not, she is what I say new Black money need, that buzz on the arm that lasting branding. People love to talk about her which means, they will always talk about Usher. They could break up a thousand times, and the hate that people have for her will help him along the way…so that puts her in the asset category so kudos to her and him for figure it this out.
