Two things that seem to garble the headlines, outside of the last year’s economic quagmire. Two things that despite the media‘s best effort to explain, the more people seem to be be completely confused on how mad, how excited or why they should feel anything at all, the less the really understand what will be the true protocol for both.

I’ve yet to hear one reason on why people are collectively worried about public health care, from the media and I’ve yet to hear one good reason on why American people should have to pay $3000 for a leg cast, from its opposers. Either way, people who are for, disagree on how free heath care should be and the others, well, they just don’t like public funding to affect their, um…social security income umm..errr, hmmm. And personally, no one is really explaining what we get out of all of this, if it passes or not *cough it will*.

For cash for clunkers, like I’d been saying for a while now, a car over $25K, albeit an expensive car means squat nowdays, if it doesn’t get over 19 miles to the gallon, and I’m pretty sure in about 2-3yrs, every car, praised and driven off the lot , by the time the owners pay off these new semi new cars with their Cars Rebate System, those will be just as illegitimate as the cars that replaced them. I can’t wait to see the emissions lines then. But here is the catch, the very clever catch and reason behind all of this… no matter how much we all complain to disagree or not, this will happen and without option. And unemployment, once seen as a bad thing, will become the easy manner to accept everything people now think they hate.

Cash For Clunkers
The car industry, once over supplied with cars, as much a month ago, was met with demand for the first time in nearly a year. Co-winkie? Nope, with everyone turning in their cars for rebates, it sent a shock pulse through the car industry. Giving it sorta of a reboot and making auto lots, popular again. With the government, on the back-end still managing the operating fiances of the auto industry, cash for clunkers too me seems completely necessary from their end, to get not only a return on investment after bailing out US automakers, but forcing the transition of new, seemingly better auto production on a consumer who, technically couldn’t afford it but now, some how has found a way to invest in a new car, just to drive…not to their jobs but to the unemployment line.

Unemployment, Health Care’s Best Friend
Ah unemployment. The true catalyst for making universal health care necessary. I mean if those government jobs for building new transits and infrastructures work out, people will flock to those jobs if there is nothing else for them…sorry, its a fact. And if the main job supplier is the government, like it or not, the government will be the main supplier for…health care. So like the Cash for Clunkers, and even the bank bailouts, its all clear now. Their decision is NOT based on your investment, its based on how the government foresees its spending in the next 20-30 years. And if your in need of their support, you ain’t got a word to say about it…period. And if they have to pay, trust, they will want to make the rules in their favor, meaning, we’re destined for universal health care no matter what.

And then buy a car for another $25K plus (cause you know Flex fuel cars are NOT cheap) to be put back in debt? What would make more sense is if they just took that $4500 to a conversion kit for like $2000 and another $2000 for whom ever installs it and a $500 tax credit. I dunno about the pie slicing of the 4 grand but seriously. If I just paid off a carnote, why would I want to pay another one for a car that works perfectly fine?

Sorry but, I’ve been watching all the rhetoric about energy and gas prices, bailout blah blah but guess what. If you are foreclosing on a house, buy a car new or old would be the last damn thing on your mind….period. The nail in the US auto economy is that fact nobody can afford a car anyways.

We all need to take that into consideration when thinking why we haven’t all ran out and bought a new car…hmmm loss of job? raised interest rates? backlog on mortgage..oh yeah, nows the perfect time to go out and buy a car with insurance and maintenance and that ever predictable gas prices…get real. Or at least when I look around that’s what I’m seeing..reality.

Oh and one of the most crudest forms jacking an invention. Like the victimizing of some of Garret Morgan’s inventions, sometimes, people decided they don’t want to clear things and just take it. Watching the trailer, my heart hurt for that moment when he see’s his invention, in mass production driving down the street.

It could be his integrity, demand for respect or pride that would lead him to not allow the jacking. It makes me think of all the famous rappers that are knowingly enjoying the success from someone’s lyrics or beats, or hell style.

All I kept thinking about was Kelis and how her infamous style and music tone had been carbon copied all over the Pop and Hip Hop soul genre. Unlike Bob Kearns, there is no true format for music style and sending someone to court, within the Hip Hop genre, is there? If so, for many Chicago artists the format is give’em a record deal to get them off our back. Of course they probably kick themselves when they realize they can’t sell a thing because its sorta like a double edged sword. You tried to sue me for stealing your song, so I’ll give you a record deal and sabotage its success, cause hay, you tried to sue me.

Get something stolen from you is heart breaking. At first some people are excited and then there is remorse and anger. Like the movie and history for many minority inventors, is the support the fighting factor in winning the swagger back? Is the follow through important to see it never happens again?

I guess I’m waiting to see if there will one day be an underground revolt with a class action suit toward big record labels. Then again, underground swagger jacks the old, and it might just be one long civil suit.

The debate on whether oil companies, making record profits, should funnel that money back down for the little man or for energy dependence. For the business community, over taxing a company because its doing great, well to them, its considered blasphemous. Almost, borderline fascist. Imagine a self-made rap label, lets say..um Cash Money was obligated to give competing labels money to move up cause they couldn’t compete with the marketing? What usually happens, the money label ends up buying out the roster and building a large and bigger brand. The ones in need may have bigger perks but, they own wayyy more than they used to. That merged label is at the beckoning of its new owners.

Here is the thing, big oil makes money, little people thinks its unfair cause they are so rich. ….Not to sound mean but, if “little people” returned to making bubbled money, they’d buy gas and spend spend spend. Then again, since when do little people know about billion dollar profits. For most, money solved problems. What many fail to realize cost of expenses double up to cost not even imagine by a lottery winner. Of course its all a self fulling problem, people can’t pay bills cause of gas…guess what, people not paying bills are not new, even when gas was 85 cents a gallon. Poverty, not new…

Now here is where the oil companies are held responsible. Sure one cost leads to a another that ripples down. Washington wants to take record profits and funnel them where?……..i dunno. They already get money directly from these companies, lobbying to up hold these tax breaks. States are jacking up taxes, despite bridges and streets being a mess.

Based on what I hear, sure its unfair to over tax big oil companies for supply and demand profits. If I made something that started to make money, I’d be pissed if someone came with their hand out, just cause I got some and they didn’t. Yes big oil is a seemingly a business. Here is thing, big oil companies are not like Apple, or McDonalds or eveb Nike. Oil is the vain of most of the globes economy. Therefore its pretty insulting to think when oil changes in cost, it doesn’t affects EVERYTHING. Its not like a normal business. If Air Jordan’s go up by another $100, my food bill will not rise. Its time to acknowledge that oil is like charging for air. Think of Total Recall in the movie where something seemingly deserved , placed with a price and oddly controlled in a manner that puts everyone on edge and in dire need.

Now days, since the record profits, big oil is running like a semi dystopian company. Its a small empire and it needs to be bartered and traded as if its a country, collectively. Business people may not like the fact oil companies might have to reroute funds but, the option will continute to come up so long as it is affects everything around it. This is where new level of business comes to mind. Driving will now be a privilege for some, which can change the face of business. This can make those who can afford to drive, producers of select services. Then again, if big rigs cannot travel, is this there were big oil companies, buy up fleets, take over cost, then the supply and food transport business. I mean, if they have to pay for it, why wouldn’t it be theirs?

Could making big oil pay for everything it affects, make them rightful owners of the world? Big oil paying for everything could be the largest and scariest M&A know to man, since the Roman Empire. Then again this could already be happening…just seems

A few days later, after reporting the halt of some of its notorious big boned gas cars, they’ve come out with a gimme gotcha, they are giving electric another look. Why all the hoopla? Well Crazzzy Lazy is dumping all his SUV’s thats right!

Automaking giant General Motors on Tuesday said it was preparing to cut production of gas-guzzling SUVs while clearing the road for the electric hybrid Volt.

The plug-in vehicle, introduced as a concept car in January 2007, will be powered by a lithium-ion battery that can be recharged either via a regular electrical socket when parked or by an onboard generator while driving. [Foxbusiness.com]

Ooh sounds intriguingly dangerous!

The real question is the cost. I mean hybrids are already making poor countries pay for some douche to smuggly drive around in a corn mobile. And by the time a person like that makes up the cost, it will be 27 years.

The move is to make way for its new electric car movement….yay! but wait, in Chicago, our rates when up nearly 150% from a 10 + years ago. Yes our gas bills and electric bills are just as crazy as the next. So, let the gas pandering begin….

I can see an old man with knee high black socks, white hightop Shaq Reeboks, tinted shades and a Bulls Three peat baseball cap.

Possibly one the most overly convenient vehicle (think the Homer Simpson mobile) could now be the most luxurious thing on wheels. After the reports, GMC plans to shut down 4 truck plants and selling SUV brands like Hummer, drivers could give the impression, someone is balling so outta control they can afford gas….bump the brand of the condition of the car.

The one problem, the car industry is hurting bad and as what happened with Flint Michgan, makers like Mini Coop and Vestba are making a killing. I know I always wanted a coop since high-school, well just because but, Vestba, thats all cute until a Chicago winter or tornado flings someone off a bridge.

You know how I feel about the faulting of human transportation and migration, it can lead to disabling trends, as human civilization proves. My question, can we have our flying cars…FINALLY. I mean car dealers need to develop new age cars which prove, the old mindset is preventing real progress into a new age of life. If the 60′s never happened, we would not have computers. If 80′s didn’t happen, I wouldn’t be blogging. Damn, what now?

More than likely you’ve received an email stating, “boycott buying gas on the 15th” (which ever date is circulating per quarter), in protest towards the rising gas prices. Gas prices in the US are reaching near $4 prices, record breaking of course. People ignorantly patting themselves on the back about sticking it to the man but unified.

But, like most economy boycotts, the ideas are usually lead by the ill informed and modestly broke. Boycotting one day wouldn’t even create a hiccup. In order to make a clear impact and protest, Americans would have to refrain from using any kind of gas for at least a month. Most cannot not go one day with out modern lifestyle, so, a honest boycott would never be realistic.

In addition to a boycott, what bothers me, people have this misperception that gas = US (Bush)+ Middle East and thats it. What most fail to realize, oil is a WORLDLY resource. Places like Africa and Latin America produces just as much oil as the Middle East, and United States has been running a close second to China in oil usage. Before the new year, it was projected, China would increase by 2.7% The UK, gas prices have always been above $5 dollars. It would seem as if US is finally catching up with Europe in general gas prices.

In addition, the Eco-police requests for cleaner fuel adds an additional percentage to the price, as well as a state markup to cover state ran expenses. Leading to higher than average prices for typical areas such as farms, etc.

Boycotting gas for one day is cute. When there is a month or more long boycott, maybe I’ll sit and watch the spazzouts, until then, continue with the busy work.
