Angela and Vanessa consider hiring an assistant when they have trouble balancing work and family obligations.

sidebar: besides the fact when you name your brand Pastry which has the potential to piss off Johnny Cupcakes, who’s like the Joe Pesci of Streetwear ( seriously dude is really passionate), their concept of cakes and recipes may go better if they co-op with a local bakery, make some jobs and develop the sweets in high quality turnout… but who am I to give suggestions.

also, Johnny Cupcakes who’s HIGHLY popular tee “Make Cupcakes Not War,” I know I’m not crazy but I know I saw a bitten tee by the Simmons girls. But (ex.) Pharrell & Nigo’s Ice Cream, the whole sweets and streetwear concept is bound to cross paths, just saying.

Just more proof, Sean John is a passion by nature, not hobby. Not only has the brand expanded, respectfully in the fashion world, the possible acquisition of Enyce could be a new branding turn for a possible stab at upscale streetwear. Enyce was a subtle competitor. Might as well not blur the line and flip Enyce into a mirror opposite of Sean John with the same high standards.

Less we forget 10 years ago was the Hip Hop clothier explosion with Baby Phat, RocaWear, later Apple Bottoms and Eminem’s clothing line…*shuttters.* Unlike a lot of the rappers that had intentions to spread their brand for the sake of it, I have to admit, Diddy and his crew, in total, really set the standards for what you see dudes taking credit for now. If you go even further, the Mary J/Jodeci style and the once hated shinny suits that everyone seems to be rocking now days. In my book, Phat Farm takes credit for the Ivy League style, but Diddy takes credit for the sleek style upgrade of Hip Hop fashion.

Just like they made fun of Will Smith for acting, now everyone wants, had or is attempting to make money in fashion. It seems, people who genuinely have a fashion sense, without a the help of stylists are the ones who prevail with making their fashion line believable and the natural imagination to make it expand. Congrats.

Not since Ru-Paul has this been the time for the Trans-Gender community. First the Andre J cover on French Vogue, Project Runway’s Trannylicious scandal and the Chris feature on a Challenge, I Want To Work For Diddy, Top Model and Janice Dickinson but, she just publicly humiliated hers.

Its also safe to say the Hip Hop fashion has gotten respectfully snug to extremely snug. The color coordinations and fashion ensembles have crossed the gender lines and the phenomenon of carrying purses has definitely been a good look for tricking fans with a lack of an identity. Get’em while their young is what I say.

Overall the presence of Trans Gender people on TV have been very explosive. Growing up overseas, I can vouch that over there, men like Andre J are considered dope as hell. Miss Jay from Top Model got his fame, overseas walking on the runway. Them in top modeling agencies are no secret and actually pretty old. They even cast women who look like men to balance the look.

Tranny’s, Transvestites, and some are just know as Born in the Wrong Body. Could it be that they are warming everyone up to Trans-gender presence, to prep the non noticing audience for full out closet cases? With the transition in diva attitude and styling in Hip Hop….could be. Regardless,Like Vh1′s Best Week Ever Trans Gender people are having a hell of a year and making hella bank from the exposure.

I caught the pre-show special to set the ground work for what it is like to work for Diddy. I can say that segment, made me feel good for the fact, my mind set was normal. Its pretty hard waiting on someone to give me the go-ahead for my next step. But, the show is a sure motivational boost.

They finally let his liaison, Capricorn talk. In Making the Band, she was the blond, chick in the BAPE always in the background. She apparently is just as dope, business-wise as Diddy. The special also showcases his heavy numbered staff and how most people who last with him, leave off , more than likely with him as a VC to start their own businesses. I mean, following Diddy around with lip gloss may not be as business uplifting as Diddy putting you in a position to manage or VP one of his businesses, while knowing he has someone who he personally knows and has worked with and put his minority stake in. Who am I kidding, Diddy more than likely got Majority shareholder.

I Want To Work for Diddy is more so, the velvet rope of becoming apart of the tight nit business clique most try to unsuccessfully infiltrate with just a couple of albums. Working for Diddy is the best damn letter of reference for anyone in the party/entertainment industry. Getting cheese cake might be even better than writing a business plan but, it might be hella way harder.

Seeing the pre-show made me realize one thing, Diddy’s standards are hella high. He’s lived the highlife since 1993, and Diddy seems like poison as someone stated because, maybe and just maybe, the poison is HGH. The artists don’t have the stamina or consistent work ethic to work with his insight. You get in trouble for smoking so you think a weed head rapper would work? Why would a lazy female artists work? I’m just saying. He’s coming up on his 20 year anniversary as a mogul, I think we need to finally start looking at the artists and not him.

I think they could have gotten a better pic of Ali but kudos none the less.

Is it mean for me to say that since Johnson passed, Ebony has not only loosened up but, is now opting to put people on the cover, Johnson more than likely (despised) questioned. Good to see they are making note, its a new day in Black America and the new generation is up for the challenge to class it up.

Seriously, was Obama ever on the cover before that moment, before 2008? right. Then again, some of our most famous Johnson’s have a habit of siding for personal reasons. But what do I know. Sales will most definitely be through the roof with these collectables.

Check out the rest of the covers over at bossip.com
