According to a former Hollywood Madame, actor Will Smith is gay and hired her two male prostitutes. The Madame, who moved her business to New York, tells Ian Halperin that Smith “has swung both ways for years” and was one of her regular clients. The unidentified woman claims that Smith, who has two children with wife Jada Pinkett Smith, “placed his order” for a man after he trusted that she could “guarantee discretion.” “I had to reassure him over and over that I could guarantee discretion,” she said. “Once I convinced him I could, he placed his order. It was for a man. [Bossip]

Every now and then I get an email from working in design, about a wayward madam, jumpity or pathetic publicist who try to “get back” at a celeb by putting agreed disclosed information on blast. An email blast is sent out with a rude un blind copy cc’d and for some reason it always sounds this same, with the “I assured them it would be a secret”. This one, posted on Bossip, seems odd especially when you consider there was more than likely some form of “Love Contract.” With this, my surprising 6 degrees of separation with Will Smith, we never said anything outside of the norm.

I’m to the point, why would this matter “if he himself comes out?” Will has put a lot of upcoming Black writers on, a lot of young movie directors on, and has a Q rating through the roof. The way I see it, someone didn’t get paid as much as they wanted, rather than what they were deserved. This goes back to that Snitch for money syndrome going on. People fail to realize putting someone’s business out there, when they are married, children and ALOT of money is involved and I’m not even talking about money from the marriage. If he “is” in Scientology, how is this our business? He pays his staff on time, donates millions to charity, represents Black men in film to the fullest. Tainting a brand for a $5,000 is not only dumb but, if you slime with intent to come up on paper, it better be reciprocated. If you notice people hate Superhead but, she had to expose HERSELF in order to write her infamous books, so in the end, it was a complete disclosure of a situation, not just ONE person.

As much as I’m annoyed by Lil Wayne, the same thing applies to his assistant spilling everything about what he’s seen at the discretion of working in that sort of atmosphere.

What will start happening, a massive wave of firings, cease and desists for people who feel they can get famous (or rich) themselves by giving up dirt, not sleuthed but gathered through fake trust. Once again people who play docile and taking a mental note to use gossip as a commodity or blackmail to better themselves. One problem, you sign a contract, you will be ruined for the rest of your life. And unless you expose the truth about Cigarettes or something, outing someone’s vice is not enough to be financially set for life.

I said snitching will start to get out of hand. Be ready for more people messing with others money. I think people who gain people’s trust and screw with the meal tickets might be the dumbest people on the planet. Why? Cause they usually go broke for the hopes of getting gossip for commodity.

For most of major cities, the Fox channel and its morning, afternoon and nightly news has been the hot bed for upcoming minority anchors. In Los Angeles, Fox new syndicate pushed a Pro-Illegal agenda, while the cable news channel was CLEARLY anti-illegal immigration. In Chicago, most of the front end and backend staff is mainly Black and VERY PRO-OBAMA. Some would even call the local Fox New channels across the country, “Pro-Liberal”. Like across the country, the local Fox channel, in general, showcased the most prime-time Black shows in the 90′s. Go figure.

Then the cable news channel became the forefront for questionable banter on “right wing,” “Bush agenda” protection, almost overnight with the tragedy in September of 2001. They were also accused of questionable minority and Black political coverage. Most notably talking head shows where Black politicians received greasy jabs and the anti-liberal agenda was created to balance other networks, seemingly liberal agenda. To keep it real what is now being titled “Faux News” by such notables as Nas, had good points to question race baters. People forget, the US “majority” are their primary viewers.

As much as Nas made good points on Faux news hypocrisy. This hypocrisy became more potent during a rash of WTF moments in the Black community and the recent presidential election. Yet for Nas, his only beef was that, the “They Shooting, Made You Look…got you shook” rapper wanted to perform at Virginia Tech after the shooting massacre. He had a right to perform but, I felt it would have been in bad taste. Then again a core number of the students seemed to sadly get off on the all the press attention. To the point the campus student body was split on whether anyone needed to give more than 5 press interviews on the matter, within the week of the tragedy. That cause a rift between students, which was only know outside the news.

Fox News (cable) brought all sides to the table which most will never admit. If some hoodrat does some unthinkable crime, asking why it happened should have never been called racist, especially with something like a 3 year old smoking weed. I actually watched because of the hardcore coverage of US news. It was the first time people looked at the antics in the Black community without fear of being called racist, cause they just asked…why? Then, due to people’s dislike of Bush, news channels became commentary channels on how much they hated Bush, when all I wanted to know was “What Happened.” Despite it all, you still want to know what happened. Outside of the “commentary” shows, the general news coveage for Fox (cable) was pretty solid And I’m grown up enough to admit that.

Then Obama ran for office. And the vibe of the channel started to change. Anchors who just covered the news started making greasy comments. Being a fan of all news channels, I found myself changing channels. The under belly of the cable fox news became clear and for the first time, the ratings started to drop. Their “majority” viewership changed political motivation. People got fed up with the lack of news coverage and their non-stop obsession with hating on Obama. It was even more clear when Clinton campaigners would go on and thank Fox News (cable). In a parallel world, the local Chicago channel for Fox News, was anything but. The reporters almost gushed over Obama coverage. Most of them not only attending the infamous Trinity Church but, openly admitting support.

What people fail to realize, Myspace and most of the social networking sites are owned via M&A by the same channel they despise. The financial coverage and business channel covers hints and faults, people are too proud to watch cause of their hatred of the channel. So while people hated Faux, they sprinkle some prophesied financial stuff in their business coverage. I mean, they basically own the stock market. I actually think they purposely did that in spite of its angry viewers, they are not watching anyways, sucks for them.

The local Fox News is almost polar opposite of the cable channel. What people fail to realize, outside of commentary, news is news. And most of the newly organized news comes soley from Associated Press. Unfortunately if I turn to Fox News Cable right now, they’re probably still talking about Jermiah Wright….bitter much?

The Starbuck franchises, gone, the book store ones, fizzled. What’s the aftermath? “Save Our Starbucks.” I then thought, waiiiiiiit a minute. 600, minus a million (exaggin), is hardly saving. Then I thought, was this the plan? To sacrifice a dozen or so Starbucks, create a media frenzy and a series of save our coffee campaigns. Was this all a pity ploy?

That’s so Mary J. Blige of them. Then again, drama is profitable now days. Could the lazy coffee goers have to, actually walk down the street to get their mocha slapa frappa? Wow, exceriee and profit, in Starbucks case, this actually could be a win, win in about a year.

Over the past week or so, crazy going on’s in Hip Hop business:

Like I suspected Jay-Z’s “management team” for 40/40 has been running some Castro esp employment fairness. There have been reports one of his managers even threatened an employee if they joined the pending class action suit against the establishment and disgruntle workers. The problem is Contactmusic’s history of indulging but, going thorugh a similar EEOC style tactics, a lot is said when people think they can get away with it. [Contact Music]

Youung Joc pulls a <a href="http://urbanmagnate.com/2008/06/10/we-like-rappers-that-like-rappers-who-like-paying-bills/>Lil Wayne and skips out on a $25K retainer for customization on his car’s stereo system. [Bossip]

J Prince charges are dropped. I didn’t really follow this case but, it sounded too suspect to random to even speculate. Clearance of vocals and what not…thats pretty normal now days. [Allhiphop.com]

But this is different. The baby mama, is an ex-wife and the rapper is a “Native Son” politically minded, emcee. Yes, its a parallel world or just the new face of busted fathers, educated, two parent upbringing and “questionably” deadbeat. A pass, I’ve noticed a lot of seemingly together men are falling victim of. Then again, alot of 5% men credit “African culture” as an excuse for having baby mamas. And hood boy’s with well trained baby mama drama, might have more experience seeing this first hand. Practice makes perfect right?

Still, why be so hard on Mos and not the stripper? For plenty of reasons. But for now, I blame Mos for caking so hard. A strong minded “Muslim” man, wifin’ up a stripper and marrying her so fast (guess we know where the random Ms. Fat Booty song came from). I doubt he’d have a hard time finding a good woman…a stable Muslim woman…right? So, what is “really” up. Not saying he can’t mess up. He is human but, I hold men like him to higher standards. Once you raise the bar, its hard for me to be forgiving.

But most importantly, Mos Def will be the new age renaissance man. He could have a chance at an Oscar, a film studio, etc and its not a good look to put his legacy (money) at risk. The bigger star he becomes, he needs to smooth this all out before his sloppiness ruins all his hard work.

What cracks me up is the “typical” the girl is wrong, she’s a gold digger, she’s this, she’s that… Well news flash, if she was a stripper, she stepped up her hustle and people are playing the role, if they feel they need to suddenly rate her on a moral compass.

People need to realize, unlike Superhead, he married her. Sure she wrote a book. But, he MARRIED HER. I mean she didn’t have to put the debated contents of his life out there. Then again, his random past child support issues, are public legal forum.

Check out the details and the audio [Bossip]

Earlier this year his upscale art collection was reposseed, following the same path as Wayne, by not paying an artist what was due. In addition, th car given to Lil Kim, which first lead to speculation on Lil Kim being broke. Now, his infamous home is up for the tax man.

Record producer Scott Storch, who owns a $10.5 million home on Miami Beach’s Palm Island, is behind in property taxes — $511,839.16. He owes $294,492.50 for ’06, and $217,346.66 for ’07…

He is in arrears on child support for son Jalen, 2, and was a no-show at a hearing. So Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Marc Schumacher issued a pick-up order, authorizing cops to jail Storch until he can be brought to court.

”You are hereby commanded to take into your custody Scott Spencer Storch,” says the order, known as a ”writ of bodily attachment.” No word on his whereabouts.

Storch can be released — if he posts a $46,000 bond. He owes at least that much: $30,000 for four months of support for Jalen, plus $16,000 toward the boy’s Florida Prepaid College Plan, says attorney Jason Setchen, who represents Jalen’s mom, Dalene Jennifer Daniel. She sued Storch for paternity in ’06. Daniel, 31, says Storch has failed to fulfill the terms of their mediated settlement agreement.
They should do a new show on MTV called “Repossessed, following stars that once showed off their things, that are now in losing it all. If Cribs showed the new American Dream, it could at least show what happened when you don’t respect the dollar or the taxes that go with it.

Interesting move I though, though I did say, despite his “name” change he’s always gonna be Diddy to me but, this right here….um….not cool. Apparently HE DID NOT change his name. The way I see it unless some government papers are filed, no need to get grossly offended…seriously. If Sean says a nickname in a song, its pretty sad on all our parts to be that emotionally involved enough to get mad..Then again, when a culture and press release is developed around merley changing a moniker, be ready for people to either cheer or jeer…Seriously.

I’m probably one of the RARE people who actually think Diddy’s methods for business, marketing and music are top notch. I think he’s underrated as starting the new age hip hop branding and fashion. I mean, this is shinny suit man. The one everyone loved to hate and now wants to team up with, outside of music. But, I dunno…I’m sensing Hollyweird might be seeping in his skin. Buts thats me…personally I’d rather a press release and name change of the day to be, the Governor of Illinois…but to me, I’m this close to leaving the dumb managed Illinois anywho……wait…is the Hollyweird syndrome contagious? damn…

It seems officially..um official that Jay-Z has started the process of his Carter Music Group, a label of a digital nature. I waited because there was a lot of he/she said about the nature of the group, Apple, Barclay’s, whatever around the net. Not to say sources like PageSix or NYdaily News aren’t reputable but, the news today about his $100 Million demands for his new label, I could resist raising some questions. Even the source of the source say, its all rumors. Maybe because its actually $150 million.

For me, it seems more so the potential of a Sean Carter Music Group than “Jay-Z,” being worth $100 Million. Excessive, maybe…presumptuous? Well, I’ll let his last album’s popularity determine that. In an era where, joint ventures or falling off, the $100 million deal could mean he’s raising the stakes of the new joint venture…the solo digital venture. I mean really, look at Master P. As profitable as he has been, he’s not really a trendsetter and borderline tacky in some circles……okay, most. Yet, it was enough to make him a groundbreaking mogul and brand.

Jay-Z, with all the hood poshness and purple label monickers, could he bring on a Rihanna or Ne-Yo or find replacements? Could he go Curtis and make his label the ultimate brand? It’s hard to think of Jay-Z and not go back and reference Rocafella, no matter how hard he tries to distance himself. He still throws up the Roc, his clothing label is named Rocafella, him and even Dame are still associated with the legacy. So, re-branding himself may not be as easy this go round. Especially with the low moral for BIG/corporate esq rap labels. Jay-Z now days, is a new age mogul role model but, sometimes, less is more and now days, no one really knows whats enough.

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Tracy Morgan returned to his old show last night to offer a blistering (and funny) response to Geraldine Ferraro’s comments about Barack Obama.

He was also, undoubtedly, refuting the talk that SNL has been biased toward Hillary Clinton. Tina Fey, who co-stars with Morgan on NBC’s “30 Rock.” appeared on SNL three weeks ago to defend Clinton

btw. “This” is funny. The Wright preacher is overboard. What’s funny, media should have been covering Black religion in much depth as they cover politicians and prostitutes. They’d be better informed on how outraged they should really be, instead of “being surprised”. You go in every black denomination across the country, they are all saying the same thing. I mean really where is the editorial piece on Black religion and the role it has taken for racism and Black angst.

I’m neutral across the board here. First they unfairly got on Mit Romney about being Mormon and now they don’t know whether to criticize Obama’s for a Muslim, a radical Christian or being religious at all. Not only is this a first, religion might end up being just as much as problem than race or gender, it has exposed the public’s true feelings on the matter. Deep Black discussions are occurring and sadly, no “leader” is there to really explain it all the newly informed middle America.

One thing you can say. The American public is being tested; the “expert” political analysis are being proved wronger everyday; this election may be the most historical one in American history at the end of the day. Old hang-ups and America’s insecurities are out in the open. Things were different after 9/11, now its really time for American to do some resolve on REAL talk and heal. No punches spared.
