While, checking out some back to school prices, on Apple’s site I finally saw the Beats By Dr. Dre, headphones. The feature says:

Experience the music exactly the way the artist wants you to. Beats high definition headphones are precision-engineered to reveal the full sound of today’s digital music including the most sonically demanding Rock, Pop, Hip Hop and R&B. With advanced speaker design, powered amplification, and active noise canceling, Beats delivers all the power, clarity and deep bass today’s top artists and producers want you to hear. [Apple]

For Hip Hop, the use of instruments, before a concert or live performance is not as big as, lets say rock. Without a doubt, the music for hip hop magic begins in production room, if there is no ghost producing going on. So for Dr. Dre, I feel to have the ability to get a line of personal tuned headphones, at $350 is a huge deal. A bigger deal, knowing that his ear is so respected, in the industry and valuable that it can be sold. And unlike most artist, most of us know Dr. Dre’s ear is actually his own.

Now that’s some Quincy Jones stuff right there. And when you think about it, despite all the back in forth about whose hot? In the MUSICIAN world, Dr. Dre has become Hip Hop’s official traditional musician ambassador.

In a semi politic business forum, the FISA bill, many ACLU lovables are complaining about, was passed. Wtf is a FISA? Well its basically a bill, that protects companies from lawsuits who are used for survallance of the communication channels in the US.

Here is the irony. They’ve been using this since the 50′s, around the start of the CIA but, it didn’t come to light, officially until 9/11. If you were selling “candy” you might know, that surveillance is nothing new. Now what is even more of coincidence, social networking sites, like Facebook, Myspace, even popular blogs and forum boards could have possibliy been apart of this surveillance before the bill was passed. This case was decided before it was even brought to the public..sorry…though I doubt they’d ever admit to that….or “sorta not do that again.”..yeah right.

But many of the ANTI-FISA people are blogging about it, posting on their social networking sites. There was even a “failed” Facebook campaign to stop FISA.

So, anti fisa people are publicly posting private opinions, on a commercial site thats tagged and openly accessed and monitored….hmmmm. Sounds pretty pro FISA to me..irony, gotta love it. In order to post your favorite song, you have to relinquish rights of privacy. And most never read fine print cause, its popularity or privacy. What is cute is how people are “suddenly outraged.” Even cuter, is that Washington D.C went through the spectacle of passing a bill on an action that was already in play.

I’ve been saying since high-school these social networking sites were made for my generation and younger to get used to lack of privacy. Social networking sites reward you for exposing private business. Privacy has been totally devalued at the sake of popularity. The fame from sex tapes or racy photos on profile pages. Celebs pouring their hearts out on personal matters. Why so shocked now?

Its the quiet whisphers that gain my attention. Not the cameras, or the FISA bills. How do protest something they’ve been doing anyways in private for a half a century. What is even funnier, everything is always everyones business now. You can’t even scratch yo ass without the action posted all over the place.

Me, on this site, all I do is talk about money and the motives behind it, yet, I know I get government surveillance visits. I checks my web analyzer. Just in case the rhetoric gets a little red flag’ish. I acutally like, knowing despite all our kicking and screaming, “somebody” is watching. Whether we like it or not, it has always been this way as long as computers became personalized and nowdays if celebs have paparazzi drama, what makes people think that lifestyle hasn’t boiled over to common folk.

It appears on some next level stuff, overseas, monkeys are becoming a hot commodity. I might be one the few that’s not as sympotethic to the “blood” diamond trade in Africa because if bottle tops and pebbles were worth more, African’s in those areas would still kill each other. Let’s not play the role, diamonds have nothing to do with a kid getting their arm cut off or diamondless village getting savaged.. greed does.

So with the new age military, testing monkeys are now being sold in mass production, for testing.

Hundreds of endangered African monkeys are being taken from their natural habitat and sold for scientific experiments, as well to a “secretive” biological laboratory in Iran, London’s Sunday Times reported.

In an undercover investigation by the Times, animal trader Nazir Manji said he sells some 4,000 vervet monkeys a year to laboratories all around the world for about $100 each.

The monkeys, although protected under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species — or Cities — are likely to undergo sometimes painful experiments ultimately leading to their death, the paper reported.[Foxnews]

I’d like to see PETA go protest Iran or China….now that’s good T.V.

Of course they released the Curve and the 8800 and the 8803 or whatever but, this time its more disturbing for the simple fact, Bold was suppose to be the iPhone killer….obviously, they either don’t have the same confidence in Bold to release, the Thunder, as noted by the Boygenisreport.

At first I pegged this as a hoax then it came to me. Now most figured with the iPhone trendy touchscreen everyone body would lean that way. The bold came out and people were slightly disappointed. Yeah it looks cool but it still has buttons…awhhh.

What is also disturbing why rush the Bold if there are goals (if followed through) to release the Thunder..why not just wait or just release the thunder? Then again, the new touch phones have been messing with people who are use to their buttons….* in old man voice * change is scary.

Not only that, it will exclusively be with V- Horizon. Obviously big hoping counter punch to the AT&T phenomenon a la iPhone and American Idol usage. And me, a T-Mobile user just waiting.

Either way, it makes the hype for Blackberry sorta annoying, esp knowing what is released, may not be the best. I’m not buying nothing until next year because of that and T-Mobile * kicks rocks *. By then, they’re might be a new phone on the drawing board and more features on the iphone…I believe Blackberry but damn.

About 2 years ago, I bought a handful of stocks in companies like Archer Daniels [[ADM]], Field Petroleum [[FPP]], and most recently STARTECH ENVIROMENTAL CORP [[STHK]]. Learning crude oil jumped $132 a barrel, I was interested to know how my budding fuel stocks where doing. I made a conscious decision to not look at them, religiously. Of all the energy stocks, Field Petroleum and Startech are my two experiments. Field, a US oil pumping refinery that was barely a dollar, and an ant in the crude oil industry. When I bought it, $1 was the price and not a factor even for talking heads. It has since jumped near $6 a share and climbing. Mind you this was a time when gas was sorta high but not breaking records.

The next experiment, companies like Startech who have gone public, might be the smoking gun for the Mad Max style prices gas might face in 20, oh eight. Garbage. Yes, just like Back to the Future, when Doc flew in at the end and needed garbage to fuel his car, Startech is in works to come up with a tandem solution, doing something resource with all this damn garbage but, using it in a matter we all can appreciate fuel. See the paradox for gas, who knows if it gets that bad , Mad Max style but, you take away a civilizations right of transportation, you disable its ability to grow. With lack of transportation and movement, it just seems like idle issues can become bigger ones, food, crime, disease….but, that is just the extreme outcome…no where near that…right?

Now before anyone goes and buys up a bunch of these stocks, be reminded, “I’M” testing the waters…you on your own.

The good news of owning companies like Myspace, ad dollars are bananas. The bad thing, constant lawsuits from child solicitation and the other dealings create tons of headaches. As of late the purchase of The Wall Street Journal is good, but the success of American Idol on Fox programing, rating wise are slumping, despite the over branding of the show. And a buzz among all the hip Hop internets, the merging and acquisition of 50Cent’s Thisis50.com social networking site.

Yes NewCorp is the new media powerhouse and yes 50 Cent’s recent venture with selling concert memorabilia will put him in a position to make money while sleeping. The real question is, a merge with 50 Cents online appeal a back up investment for the ailing tv and music market? Of course they are making strides on all ends but there has been a dramatic drop in TV ratings, why? Cause the money demographic is online…like all the time. If there can be no money in selling music, I’ve notice a trend in selling the dream to a bunch of wannabe’s and the need to be affiliated with fame, the mere notion of possibly getting in the music industry could easily be just as profitable.

Of course the details of 50 Cent deal have been talked about all week, which includes his book deals. $300 million, wow or what ever but, I’m giving a side eye, not to the deal but better yet a new trend, in addition to concert money, online expansion might be the new trickery for padding the new “market”. Can’t make money with music anymore? Venture where no fitted cap has ventured before. If this doesnt work, the Hip Hop market which is in progress of a massive bubble will eventually pop.

Read the details of the deal here [Bossip]

BlackBerry fans won’t have to wait that long to get a glimpse of RIM’s 3G plans. Like Apple’s iPhone, the BlackBerry Bold sports a glossy black face and chrome trim. And, in another nod to the iPhone, the new Blackberry’s display is the sharpest one that the Waterloo, Ontario-based company has put on a phone to date–all the better for users to show off Web pages. [Forbes]

Many of Blackberry supporters feel despite Apple’s visual appeal, its software fails to cater to business features many businesses have grown accustom to using. It’s clear the new “basic” platform wars are PC vs Mac, Blackberry vs iPhone. The problem, if the new BOLD Blackberry doesn’t come up with new innovated features, past general cpu do dabs, Apple’s not too far behind to pass up RIM, like the MP3 sector in the early 2000′s.

For me Apple’s a few reliable business applications (like enterprise, office) and additional USA service providers away from truly being competition. Despite it all, I’ve noticed a lot of Blackberry users, who apparently have no real business, not really know why Blackberry is better and iPhone sucks…(like PC’s and MAC respectfully). You’ve seen them. The fake CEO label heads, fronting with a Blackberry. Of course its the norm and actual business Blackberry users can appreciate the convenience of noteworthy Blackberry applications, etc, noting the RIM specific software is what separates from real business and highend internet use. Possibly if business users join when T-Mobile, Sprint, etc are added interaction on how to improve the iPhone might help. Apple seems to be really good creating a culture around customer response. Until then, T-Mobile serves me and my Blackberry is super-sufficient.

Yes, the new Blackberry 9000 aka Blackberry Bold, is now featured on the Blackberry site. For those that asked why I was still holding on to my 8700, cause 8800 shelf life was not even close to what they have in store for the 9000. But, I hesitate like that when, the advancements are coming out too fast.

What’s in the new one, well friggin everything!
It comes with the same ol, IM, email, bluetooth, maps, and then a sup’d up organizer seen in a bit in the 8800. But then it gets interesting, better WIFI capabilities, a newer smoother interface, higher graphics for multimedia functions (movies, music, pictures). The web interface is really highend too. Not sure how that will play out on mobile friendly sites but, I’ll wait to see. Until its officially on sale, Blackberry Blurbs will use the trusty ol 8800.

For detail junkies:
• 2MP camera with flash
