Delta City was a proposed plan in the film 1987 Robocop trilogy that presented the company OCP as the resolve for an ultimate urban renewal project, promised as a gleaming, corporate-controlled city promised to be free of crime and poverty. The film presented campy campaigns marketed to the public with highly produced commercials during the films, portraying Delta City as a commercial and residential paradise.
In reality, OCP’s pursuit of Delta City involves evicting Detroit’s existing residents and using violent means to clear out neighborhoods, highlighting the corporation’s disregard for human cost.
