The question, is all of America cool enough to relate to the needs of Like & Subscribe committee, or is America not BASED enough to join the above $675K a year clique? Cause its starting to feel like you need a certain amount of social media followers to get any attention for local civic needs these days. Do they even know a world that doesn’t require a social media following?
Maybe this a chicken or the egg. Did social media influencers latch on to DSA? or Did DSA seek out influencers to become political? From having the difficulty of creating marketing plans for people who “were” social media influencers in the 2010’s, most of them failed because they forgot online culture doesn’t quantify as much as real world challenges. Especially in a post Epstein society. It was awkward as hell trying to explain you can’t hype a consumer to match the culture you promote IRL, if they can’t afford it (socially or financially).
Not to knock my generation but, we cannot use high-school hierarchy to forgo qualified and grounded with, “delusional and aspirational.” Especially when the money isn’t thriving a lot of people’s lives right now. The high of social media is starting to wear off and become sorta washed.
