The point of Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was to see where people weren’t needed and bring in tech to support redundant tasks. But how can you do that if everyone is meddling in the baseline? A government freeze. Unfortunately for many, the government shutdown is moving like some sort of tough love system to a changing America reality. Its not moving towards the worse due to Trump policies but Trump Admin’s way of Jedi mind tricking the public of an inevitable economic crisis and failure technically under his watch he’s hope to blame on someone else. Imagine the collapse of America’s first world comfort under Trump but the political narrative is “oh we just want America stronger to prepare for the worse.” While not admitting the worse was already in motion since 2017, the collapse seems like it would’ve happened under Trump, Harris, Biden, Bernie, whom ever.
If you’ve ever seen a company collapse, they stop caring about oversight. The office mangers stop policing office supplies. Management starts taking a lot of sick days. And everything seems like it’s under construction, without any notice stating the timelines or project plans. I’ve seen people simply stop caring and essentially start looting the infrastructure while the employees have no clue what’s going on, until they get work they’re fired or operations have paused until further notice.
This government shutdown feels more like a distraction, keeping the population calm before the chaos and looting and less about political strategy. Something big is occuring that’s so life changing to America culture, the force shown in the cities feels like an abusive parent threatening the kids to not say anything in front of company.
