First, Ro Khanna, being “Brown” in Israel or even Palestine means you wouldn’t have been able to walk away without being lynched, shot, or in a hospital. So calling anyone “violent,” running up on them in their country, during a war btw, wouldn’t result in you telling all the Sunday news outlets how you were violently detained, in a clean suit and no bandages.
You got a black eye? You got your legs broken? No, then STFU. Palestinian kids are getting tortured, Israeli elders are being burned alive, and you get to go, do some stunt and then try to weaponize a regional incident for political points. Oh at the behest of Black Americans strife, suddenly your Brown? Being brown is getting racially profiled in a grocery store. Or having the security orbit you at a gym. Oh, or an Indian see you and cross the street for their safety. So what is really going on here? Once again being Black is a noun, not a verb. You don’t to be that when its convenient or marketable. But if you want to live that life all the time, go ahead.
Now if he went to Pakistan, or tried to roll up in Brahmins in Fort Worth,Texas lets see what would have really went down. You have people actually advocating for Palestinians, being threatened by Pro-Palestinian protesters in American because they’re not twerking on a police suburban. At this point, support for Palestine is relative and has lost the plot. No one really can translate the outrage over legitimate solutions. Even if you were concerned about any loss of life Palestinian or Israeli, nothing other anarchy isn’t enough for public figures.
Khanna was winning with issues with children civil rights, but, him running in Palestine/Israel, where he’s not even liked by either side, and then trying do some performative ass Bernie Sanders civil rights march stuff, clout chasing in a suit is low life stuff. I think he’s better than that and too important for humiliation rituals. In the end, what is the angle here? A Gofundme page? Creating his “Selma” moment?
This is a serious human rights issue that he cherry picked to be concern about. Rule number one, if you want an election purse for American politics, a donation windfall for election, try fixing sh!t in America first. Rather than deflecting to easy, hands-off, dissociated international issues. Notice how these issues that are conveniently too big to actually fix but, small enough to “appear” like you care for campaign funds. My thing, be about that life, and go check on those trafficked kids across California’s border, and stop begging for strife you conveniently don’t have to endure on a day to day basis.
The biggest issue, why was he there? Why now? Why wait till its safe for you, when it wasn’t safe for the Palestinians. Why not right after October 2022? it’s so hard to support any concern, when the personal gain outweighs the human cost.
